Get ready Las Vegas to shake your shamrocks at the first ever Dublin Down Festival featuring Celtic punk rock band Flogging Molly in a celebration of Irish heritage and rock-n-roll. The Dublin Down Festival will kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend Friday, March 16 at the Thomas & Mack Center with the festivities beginning at 3 p.m. throughout the TMC plaza and the concert at 6:45 p.m.
Flogging Molly will be nearing the final stop on their Green 17 Tour 2012 when they get to Las Vegas. The “green carpet” will be rolled out when they bring their infusion of punk rock with Celtic instruments - violin, mandolin and the accordion, and merge blues progressions with grinding guitars and traditional Irish music. The infectious originality of their songs will surely help all Dublin Down Festival revelers "paint Las Vegas green." Other special guests include Suedehead and Sean Wheeler & Zander Schloss.
The Dublin Down Festival will also include an outside stage to rock out to live Irish bands, vendors, food and plenty of pints of the pride of Ireland. Check out the complete schedule below:
