What a GREAT time to be a Rebel! Not only are our Runnin' Rebels undefeated and nationally-ranked, but our Lady Rebels are off to their best start in 20 years as well.
TV FOR SUNDAY'S RUNNIN' REBEL GAME
As you may have heard, we were able to find a way to get this Sunday's UNLV Runnin' Rebel game vs. Wichita State to be broadcast live on Cox Channel 96 at 1 p.m. PT. It will also be available on www.Cox96.net. We want to send a very special thank you to Steve Schorr and his entire team at Cox Communications for making this possible for our fans.
HAVING FUN
As much as we enjoy watching our Rebel student-athletes perform and want them to win, we must remember they are still young people having fun during a special time in their lives. This Rebel Short honoring fifth-year senior Kendall Wallace of our men's basketball team is a great example of that. The guys truly had a great time filming this spot and the pure joy in it makes me happy every time I see it. I hope it makes you happy as well. Click here.
REBELS WIN BIG - IN THE COMMUNITY
I want to end this issue with some things that really matter - how our department, our coaches and our student-athletes are using the platform of college athletics to make a difference in the lives of those throughout Southern Nevada. Below is a wrap-up of some of our recent community outreach efforts. It is impressive to say the least. Congratulations to our Bridget Byrne, our director of community outreach, and all of those involved with making a difference for UNLV and for the people of Southern Nevada. Enjoy.
